Curtis Wooten Sr. is the proud pastor of the Amazing Grace

Missionary Baptist Church, located in the Whitehaven community of Memphis, Tennessee. He is the shepherd of Amazing Grace Missionary Baptist Church and dedicated to preaching, teaching, and serving this present age.

  Pastor Curtis Wooten Sr. is a native of Memphis, Tennessee. He is a firm believer in education. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, received his Bachelor of Arts degree from LeMoyne-Owen College,  then further his education by receiving  a degree from the Tennessee School of Religion.

​

  After accepting his calling, Pastor Wooten became a licensed and ordained minister and began his preaching ministry. He preached his first sermon June 29, 1997. He decided to begin the journey of pastoring and started Amazing Grace M.B. Church with only sixteen members in a community center. The church is now in a church facility located at 253 Byron Dr. Memphis, Tennessee 38109 in the Whitehaven area.

  Pastor Wooten is married to his high school sweetheart nearly 40 years ago. To this union, Pastor Wooten and First Lady Brenda Wooten  are blessed with four children and eight grandchildren.
